Tom Quirk

CEO

Tom helped establish GSQ in 1986 and is an agency founder and owner of the company. He encourages and leads the team while also handling some of the service of many of our clients. One of the things Tom always tells our clients is that our goal is to partner with them to be a resource and adviser about insurance issues and provide the best solutions to help them run a successful business. With more than 40 years of experience in the business serving clients locally, nationally, and internationally, he has provided everything from simple, standard coverage to complicated, sophisticated coverage. Tom knows a thing or two about needing insurance because, yes, it’s true, he was an amateur national motocross champion.

Elizabeth Hernandez

Insurance Agent/Broker

A licensed Insurance Agent/Broker since 1997, Elizabeth works with clients to determine their areas of risk and find the insurance services that are right for them, their business, or their family. She’s an incredible resource for answering questions about outstanding features and the benefits of our business and personal insurance options. On top of all that, her skill of being bilingual allows her to reach out to the Latino community. While you may always see her in heels, the truth is, she loves to get muddy and dirty wading through rivers and climbing tough mountains. Check out Elizabeth’s page.

Bobbi Frazier

Senior Commercial Account Manager

Before joining GSQ, Bobbi worked for Fireman’s Fund for 10 years, gaining a variety of skills from different positions. She worked her way up from the mailroom to a Small Business Underwriter, then brought her experience to the GSQ team in May 1992. Some of her favorite activities are participating in car shows and cheering on her husband as he races and autocrosses.

Lynne Wach

Commercial Account & Office Manager

Lynne started working part-time at GSQ in 1981 as a junior in high school. After graduation, she quickly got licensed as an Insurance Professional and never looked back. Having worked in each department at GSQ, Lynne has a wide range of experience, but her favorite thing is always helping our clients. Her second favorite thing is scrapbooking, and just to clarify, she scrapbooks pictures, not insurance paperwork.

Debbie McRoberts

Commercial Account Manager

With over 40 years of insurance experience ranging from Personal to Commercial Lines, Debbie takes pride in providing the highest level of service and information to our clients since joining GSQ in 2017. In 2018, Debbie achieved an “Elite Certified Insurance Service Representative” (CISR) designation from The National Alliance Insurance Education and Research. Not only is she an outstanding insurance resource, but she’s also a fourth-generation Californian who loves to travel. At times, simply traveling to her backyard jungle garden with her two pugs also makes her happy.

Nicole Gardiner

Personal Lines Account Manager

Bringing along her retail management/customer service skills, Nicole started at GSQ in November 2018 and quickly got her insurance license by January 2019. Nicole’s mom, Christine Gardiner, worked with GSQ for about 18 years before retiring and handing over the personal lines department to Nicole at the beginning of 2019. Insurance runs in Nicole’s blood, much like gardening. Not only a “gardener” by name, Nicole loves tending to her garden and has plants covering the interior of her house as well.

Kim Kamimoto

Agency Accounting

Kim gathered her over 20 years of accounting experience in various roles at companies throughout Silicon Valley. She then brought her experience to the GSQ team and has worked in Agency Accounting with us for over 5 years. A fun fact about Kim is that she has faithfully attended the Fanime convention for the past 3 years, definitely showing how dedicated she can be.

Ariel Wach

Content Writer

Ariel has over ten years of experience in writing including composing, proofreading, editing, illustrating, formatting, and publishing a complete trilogy of juvenile fiction novels, as well as writing several articles. She is now GSQ’s content writer for all our website and marketing content. In between writing about and researching insurance, she also helps with data entry and emails. Ariel loves writing, but that’s not her only interest. She also enjoys horseback riding with her husband and their three horses and was the top of her class in welding, making for one weird triple threat of skills.

Craig Sturges

CPCU

Craig began his insurance career in 1973 as a workers’ compensation claims examiner and supervisor with Industrial Indemnity. It wasn’t until 1980 that he became an agency workers’ compensation specialist and account executive with Garland-Sturges. In 1986, Tom Quirk asked him to serve as President of Garland-Sturges & Quirk Insurance Services. Throughout his years in insurance, Craig served on several state committees for the IIABC and IBA West including the Commercial Lines Committee, Technical Committee (W.C. Issues), Task Force on Continuing Education, and Workers’ Comp Committee. He also served as President of Independent Insurance Agents of San Jose– from 1990 to 1991– and was designated “Insurance Person of the Year” by the Insurance Women’s Association of Santa Clara Valley for 1993-1994. From his CPCU designation to completing the Law of Torts legal course, Craig knows his stuff about insurance. What he doesn’t know about is golf. Craig didn’t take up golf until he was 50 when he picked up a club in order to participate in a client’s golf tournament. Unfortunately, his golfing still hasn’t improved much.
